What is Google Slides?

Google Slides is a presentation app for creating and sharing presentations online or in person. If you have something to say, make it easy for your audience to listen by using Google Slides. You can also collaborate with others on the same presentation at the same time, so it’s great for teams and businesses.

Here are some useful things you can do with Google Slides:

Create presentations from scratch or start with a template.

Add text, images, tables, charts, and more to your slides.

Share your presentations with others so they can add content too.

Present in real time by controlling what appears on your screen as you speak or move through the presentation (available for Chrome browsers).

There are many options for online presentation tools that can rival Google Slides. Here are two of the most popular:

Prezi - This is a cloud-based presentation tool that lets you create and share presentations. It's very similar to Google Slides, with the added benefit of being able to view your presentation in full screen mode. The biggest difference between Prezi and Google Slides is that Prezi is more focused on transitions and animations, while Google Slides is more focused on text and images.

SlideShare - SlideShare is an online community where you can upload and share presentations. You can also search for presentations by topic or keyword, which makes it a great resource if you're looking for inspiration or ideas. SlideShare doesn't have an actual editor like Google Slides does, but it does have a built-in slideshow creator that will let you upload slides from PowerPoint files or images from your computer directly into the site so you can publish them as presentations online
